Actions or Just Words?

Where can you find proof? In actions, in the giving!

I believe in helping others, and every Christmas my husband and I spend our money giving to others with more needs than ourselves instead of buying gifts for each other.  So naturally, when someone tells me s(he) believes in something, I look for actions that support those words. Too often people are just blowing smoke instead of being honest.

During the past two years, the US has experienced a political divide. The first party wants Americans to take responsibility for their own lives, and the second wants the government to completely care for its people, from higher education to health care and more. How can either party convince the Americans to support their beliefs?

The second party wants to increase the tax burden of all Americans astronomically, so the burden of proof is on its members!

As an independent voter, I wouldn’t mind paying fifty percent of my income to the US government if the second party proved its words with actions. If this party did one thing, I would willingly cut back on my standard of living and support what it wants me to support!

What actions could it take?

Its members could sell their expensive homes, cars, yachts, and jewelry. Then they could donate the proceeds along with their entire net worth to the US government, earmarking these funds for their free for all policies.

Here are $56.2 billion dollars the government could use to start their programs.  From Nancy Pelosi herself along with her friends Hillary Clinton, John Corzine, Michael Warner, Jared Polis, Oprah Winfrey, John Delaney, and others…

Perhaps if these people could find it in their hearts to do this, the remaining members of their party might do the same.  Maybe the US government would guarantee these folks Medicare for life, as well as section eight housing and food stamps.

Of course, no one would probably do what I have suggested and prove the validity of his or her stated values and beliefs.
