A Boy with the Magic to Succeed
On America’s Got Talent one night, the first performer was a 14 year-old boy. He said he had become interested in magic when he was much younger. He and his Dad had watched magic performances on America’s Got Talent and he wanted to try magic himself. His Dad coached him and taught him to perform as a magician.
But when he was 9 years old his Dad died from lung cancer. For the next few years, he thought the magic had died with his Dad.
One day he realized that the magic did not die with his Dad. He realized magic was a gift from his Dad and found it within himself. This boy performed the most amazing and astonishing and magic performance on America’s Got Talent.
He found the magic for success inside himself.
YOU HAVE THE MAGIC TO SUCCEED WITHIN YOU, TOO!
To find it, you need three things.
- belief in yourself
- determination
- persistence.
You do have the magic to succeed within you! Just believe you can, make up your mind to succeed, and persist until you do succeed!
Parents, your child has the magic to succeed within him also. Help him find it. Set an example for him by telling him what you are doing when you are working to reach a goal. Then when he tells you he wants to succeed at a task, help him to believe in himself, find determination, and persist until he reaches his goal.

The magic to succeed is transforming my life. For many years, I wanted to be a published writer. I wanted to write children’s books to encourage children to read and love nature. I believed in myself, made up my mind to succeed, and persisted until I reached my goal. You can do the same thing!
