Wait patiently for the first day of the rest of your life!
Today is the first day of the rest of my life and I am so thrilled that I am crying tears of joy as I write this post. I can walk completely pain free in normal width shoes for the first time in my whole life!
My recent surgery.
One week ago I today I had just returned home from surgery to amputate part of my right foot.
Dreading the surgery because of the lengthy and very painful recovery after the first amputation surgery in June of last year, I was not expecting to walk pain free in normal width shoes in just one week! My right foot feels the best it has felt my entire life, with no pain or discomfort or swelling at all.
What caused my lack of pain?
My friend Wendy brought me a great spice called “black cumin seeds” that greatly reduced my swelling and pain. In fact, I attribute my complete lack of swelling (EXTREMELY abnormal for one week after amputation surgery) to the black cumin seeds she introduced me to. And my husband was very supportive. He took care of me so I could stay in bed for the first three days post op. He shopped for groceries, cooked, and brought me interesting foods that were very tasty as I lay in bed with my right foot elevated above my heart to reduce swelling.
***
As a child, my feet hurt so badly that there were times I did not want to walk. Grandma used to massage my feet and tell me that one day God will bless me with happy feet that do not hurt. It has taken over 50 years to receive this blessing, but today I received it. I am so very thankful to Wendy and my husband. And to Grandma for instilling in me hope to believe that one day I would walk pain free.
I am not the only person in the world who has suffered with a lifetime of pain. You may have also. If you have, just keep searching for answers to your health problem.
The first day of the rest of your life will come. Never stop looking for answers.
Let the encouraging words in these bobbiejrae posts help you
soar like an eagle above life’s storms.
Looking for a reason to be kind to other people?
A good friend is an incredible asset!
We all should be like an ostrich.
Sending you a great big hug.

January 26, 2018 at 9:47 pmI join you B J in rejoicing over the successful surgery and quick recovery from the same. Being blessed by a loving husband who has ministered to your every need during this time of recovery has no doubt been a positive element. Then there was your friend Wendy and her bringing you “Black Cumin Seed”! Prior to this, I had never heard of Black Cumin Seed but I can assure you that I will never forget it. Then there was the love and encouragement you received from your Grandmother many years ago. DON’T GIVE UP is a needed message today and we thank you for sharing it in such a powerful way.
