Healing Well!

Encouragement to enjoy healing well on near a river.

Ever been through the healing process?

As you may already be aware, I am healing from surgery to amputate part of my right foot.  Because the intensity of the pain from the same surgery on my left foot made me wish I had not lived through the surgery, I was dreading the post op healing process.  But it is going very well, thanks to a good friend’s help.

My friend Wendy is vegan and an awesome cook.  When we arrived home from the surgery on Friday, she arrived with some borscht (a delicious soup made with beets, served with sour cream and perogies).  I have eaten her delicious borscht before, but this time it had a wonderful effect.

Wendy had added “black cumin seeds” to this borscht because they have healing properties.  Within 30 minutes of eating this delicious food, the swelling in my foot started to go down.  My husband set up my laptop in the bed, and I researched this.  Black cumin seeds contain a natural substance called thymoquinone, which reduces inflammation.  Click here to read actual research that proves this statement.

Eager to recover, I have been eating borscht every lunch and dinner.  And I have not had the severe pain I had with the first amputation surgery.  Although I can walk without pain already, I still am lying in bed with my foot elevated above my heart as I type this post.  Wanting to travel with my husband on Wednesday of next week, I am being very cautious and doing everything I can to promote healing as quickly as possible.

I do not know anything about your medical conditions but I do know researchers are trying to figure out how the anti-inflammatory properties of this wonderful natural substance can prevent neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson’s.

If you have pain or other issues caused by inflammation, you might want to show your doctor this article and ask him or her if black cumin seeds might help you feel better.

Overcome your health issues the easiest way possible.
