The Shocking Truth

Recently I began shocking myself.

Recently I began using a tens unit for pain. It happened to also have EMS current, or “Electrical Muscle Stimulation”.

Previously unaware of what EMS does to the human body, I researched it and read about a recent study, “Effects of high-frequency current therapy on abdominal obesity in young women: a randomized controlled trial”.

Subjects received 30 minutes of high-frequency current therapy via a series of electrodes placed on their stomachs. They had these sessions 3 times per week for 6 weeks, for a total of 18 EMS sessions. Then, the researchers measured waist circumference, body mass index, subcutaneous fat mass (fat found under the skin), and body fat percentage.

Especially since these women didn’t modify their exercise or diet,

the results surprised me.

EMS caused significant effects on decreasing waist circumference, abdominal obesity, subcutaneous fat mass, and body fat percentage. The study concluded, “The use of the high-frequency current therapy may be beneficial for reducing the levels of abdominal obesity in young women.”

I had recently lost over 35 pounds but my stomach still wasn’t as flat as I wanted it to be. So, when I wasn’t using my tens unit for pain management, I placed electrodes on my abdomen, turned on the EMS function, and began shocking my abdominal area.

Although I was resting per my doctor’s orders, my abdomen began to flatten. Even the fatty cells around my five-inch abdominal scar began to shrink. EMS caused no pain or side effects and seemed to work even without any exercise.

Please consult your physician first if you want to try this.

I simply must share this shocking news with the world!
