Are you dreading something that may happen in your future? Read on…
Right now as I sit at my desk typing the wind is howling loudly outside in gusts over 50 miles an hour. We have over 3 feet of snow on the ground in our yard and I am dreading tomorrow.
Tomorrow we may not have power. Living in a small mountain community surrounded by trees and mountains and streams and rivers is beautiful most of the time, but sometimes trees fall onto power lines and cause us to lose our power.
So I am dreading the prospect of losing power in this freezing subzero weather. But worrying will not help us at all. All we can do is prepare the best we can by saving water in containers, having flashlights handy, charging all laptops and the Verizon hotspot, and praying that we do not lose power.
When you are dreading an event in your life, just remember that worrying does not help anything. Worrying cannot prevent the dreaded event from occurring, nor can it help you if and when the event does occur.
Facing a challenging situation and not looking forward to it? Just prepare the best you can instead of worrying. Do everything in your power to be prepared if the event does occur, but do not worry.
Prepare instead of worrying when you are dreading an event and soar like an eagle over life’s storms.
