If you don’t, think someone will catch you doing something wrong, watch the movie The Mule.
Have you ever done something wrong, thinking no one would ever catch you? If you have, perhaps you should watch the movie The Mule.
Clint Eastwood both directed the movie and played the main character, Tata. Tata is an older divorced man who falls on hard times financially. At his granddaughter’s wedding, another guest approaches him and offers him a way out. This guest gives him a phone number to call if he wants to be a “driver”.
Tata does call the phone number. In spite of his ignorance of the drug world, he becomes suspicious on his first road trip. He drives his old, beat up pickup truck into the tire shop where Mexican cartel members protected by an armed bodyguard surround him. They ask him where he wants them to cut the hole in his vehicle, and he opts to not allow them to cut a hole. So they throw a bag into the back of his truck and he drives to the motel and follows their instructions.
He earns an envelope filled with $100 dollar bills for his efforts. When he needs more money, he decides to make another trip. And another trip, and another one.
The only good thing about Tata’s job as a mule is that it allows him to become closer to his estranged family. He uses the money he earns to help his granddaughter pay for her wedding, among other things.
Eventually, the FBI catches up to the Mexican cartel and Tata. And Tata is the person the FBI gets.
Although this movie is an hour too long, it makes a good point. If you do bad things for any reason, someone will catch you.
