If we meet, I will treat you like the special person you are.
Right now we are travelling. If you happen to be in a town we are in, I would love to meet you.
If we meet, I will be open and honest. I will treat you like the special person you are, regardless of your appearance. Because I grew up dirt poor, I value people not things.
But if we meet, I have a request. Could you please treat me the same way I treat you? Please do not judge me by my unimpressive appearance. I seldom wear make-up or dress up. My hair is natural, natural curly that is. I do not straighten it or try to make it do what it does not want to do. I usually wear it simply, back in a headband.
Do you know what does not matter about a person? How they look or dress does not matter. The type of purse she carries does not matter. Neither does the kind of car he or she drives.
All that matters is what is in a person’s heart. How can you know what is in someone’s heart? Simply by observing how he or she acts and treats others.
There is a song that goes, “It’s a gift to be simple, it’s a gift to be free. And when we find ourselves in the place just right, we will be in the valley of love and delight.” That is one of my favorite songs. I happen to believe that it is best to be simple and free to be who you are. When you are simple and free and accepted you for who you are, you are truly in the right place. In that place, you will find love and happiness.
Even if we never meet, I hope that you treat others this way. For if you do, you will find that others accept you and treat you with respect more often than not.
Soar like an eagle over life’s storms. Even if we never meet, please remember how to treat others.
Let the encouraging words in these bobbiejrae posts help you
