Lessons we all can learn.
My friend Teneal had a heart issue recently. Because she had chest pain and struggled to breathe, her father took her to the hospital. She had been through many struggles and life challenges and was ready to give up on life, but I am happy to say she continued her fight this time.
Like my friend, I have had serious health issues. There are many lessons one can ponder after a major health event.
Here are a few to start with.
- Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good.
- When in doubt, just take the next small step.
- Your job won’t take care of you after your heart attack or other health issue. Your friends and family will. Stay in touch.
- Make peace with your past so it won’t screw up the present.
- However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
- Everything can change in the blink of an eye. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.
- Whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.
- Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, and wear the fancy lingerie. Don’t save them for a special occasion. Every day you wake up is special.
- No one is in charge of your happiness but YOU.
- Frame every so-called disaster with these words: ‘In five years, will this even matter?’
- Forgive everyone everything. Harboring grudges and unforgiveness only makes you stress out more.
- What other people think of you is none of your business.
- Time heals almost everything. Give time time.
- Get outside in the fresh air every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.
- If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else’s, we’d grab ours back.
- Life isn’t tied with a bow, but it’s still a gift.
I hope that you have excellent health and have not had the experiences and life challenges that my friend and I have had.

These down to earth actions will not only make our lives better when put into place, but they will also be a blessing and encouragement to others.
Thank you.
Thank you so much for encouragement. Am very happy for the lessons I learnt.
