When a storm is coming, all other birds seek shelter. The eagle alone avoids the storm by flying above it. So, in the storms of life may your heart be like an eagle’s and soar above.” – Author Unknown

Feel Better Soon!

Encouraging you to feel better soon on near a river.

A few things that make me feel better I am feeling ill.

I feel rotten today.  I have felt rotten for the past few weeks.

We have a vehicle that unfortunately requires special tires.  And our tires wore out during our recent trip.  Service Tire  had to order our tires from Michelin.  We have had to wait here  for Michelin to ship our tires.

We got stuck in a place where my allergies are disabling. Here my eyes itch and burn so badly that I almost never drive due to the distorted vision my eye allergies cause.  I scratch all over my body constantly.  And I get constant headaches. I feel miserable here.

We have been stuck here for about three weeks.  My allergies and stress caused by my first publisher have made my headaches unbearable. I cannot even consider practicing piano or listening to music right now.

In addition to visiting my doctor and taking medication as prescribed,  three other things have helped me survive.

  • Love

My second husband is as loving as my first husband was evil.  He supports me unconditionally, especially when I feel rotten. He takes over the cooking, cleaning, and shopping.

Yesterday for dinner he prepared a delicious soup from a recipe he wrote himself.  I could not eat much because of my migraine. But my husband’s soup was delicious.  It was cooked with love.  And Eric’s love made the soup taste even more delicious.

He also loves to snuggle as much as I do.  His loving touch improves how I feel a great deal.  He gives the greatest hugs and hugs really help bunches when I feel ill.

  • Pets

I have spent much time in bed due to dizziness that accompanies my headaches.  We have two small hypoallergenic dogs who love to snuggle with us.  When I am not feeling well, they snuggle close to me  even more.  Our two loving fur babies help me to relax and feel better.

  • Laughter

I like to laugh when I am not well.  Today I watched the Ellen show.  It was hilarious! Ellen called five audience members to the stage to play a game called “Dancing Blindfolded Musical Chairs”.

While  I was watching  Ellen  and laughing, I felt better.

When you or your loved one feels poorly you can improve the situation. Surround the person with loving people.  Give him lots of opportunities to laugh.  If possible, let him spend time with loving pets.  In addition to providing access to medical care and medication.

Here is a get well hug for you!

May you soar like an eagle over life’s storms.  And feel better soon!
