When a storm is coming, all other birds seek shelter. The eagle alone avoids the storm by flying above it. So, in the storms of life may your heart be like an eagle’s and soar above.” – Author Unknown

Relationship

Do you know the relationship between your two eyes?  Other relationships function just as this relationship does…

Encouraging you to consider how important every relationship is on near a river.

On Saturday of last week, my husband was finally on his way home after being away for five days trying to fix up a house in another state. I had been ill since he left and had to get up out of bed and take care of our two small dogs. There were times when I wanted to just hold them on the bed so they could not do anything in the floor, but I forced myself to get up and take them out anyway.

His absence made me realize more than ever just how precious and valuable he is. Had he been home, he would have helped with the dogs and taken care of me.

In his absence, I also realized that my relationship with my husband is like the relationship between my two eyes.  My eyes see things together, cry together, and need each other to function as well as they can.

When my husband returned, I hugged him and told him how much I missed him and how much I love him.  I did not care that he had returned late or that he was grumpy and tired from his trip.  Instead, I simply loved him because I treasure our relationship.

Perhaps we all should think of our relationships with loved ones just like the relationship between our eyes, because we do need each other.

Do you have a loved one you miss or a loved one you do not speak to?  Realize that you need this person in your life, that loved ones  should see things together and cry together. You yourself will function much better if you fix this relationship. Spend as much time as possible with your loved one and make the relationship as good as it can be.

We all need to work together like our eyes do to improve each other’s lives as much as possible every single day!
