When a storm is coming, all other birds seek shelter. The eagle alone avoids the storm by flying above it. So, in the storms of life may your heart be like an eagle’s and soar above.” – Author Unknown

The Snowman

The world can even turn a snowman into something bad.

This post is not a criticism of anyone’s lifestyle.  It only expresses the concept that you cannot please the diverse groups of people in this world, regardless of your chosen lifestyle.

A US congresswoman lived with her husband, son, and daughter.  After a big snowstorm, they all went outside to play in the snow as a family.  They made a snowman, just to spend quality time together as a family.

But everyone around them criticized their creation.

  • Their feminist neighbor walked by.  She was unhappy because the family had not created a snowwoman.
  • Unhappy about seeing only one snowman as they passed their neighbor’s yard, a gay couple complained about the lone snowman also.
  • Some vegan neighbors complained because a carrot–a vegetable–was used for the nose.  Carrots are vegetables and should be eaten, they grumbled.
  • Other neighbors complained about their racist congresswoman neighbor because the snowman was white.
  • Muslim neighbors complained that the snowman wore no headscarf.

News media showed up and reported the family as suspected terrorists, and a jihadist group claimed responsibility for the family’s creation.

So the cops visited the family of the congresswoman.  They said the broom had to be removed immediately because it could be used as a weapon.  They also seized every computer and electronic device in the house, just to verify that no terrorists lived in the home.

Because they knew they couldn’t please the world, they decided not to worry about what other people thought. They simply ignored what the world had to say about their snowman.

Ignore the criticism from others.

Live your life your way as long as you are not hurting others.

I love this one B J because it addresses many of the crazy things which our countries leadership has fostered. You nailed it with your last paragraph! Way to go! Thanks for being a voice which many are afraid to use.
