Friendship is a truly special gift.
The dictionary defines friendship as “a state of mutual trust and support”. I love this definition of friendship because it is what I look for in my friends.
We need to select friends very carefully, because “all that glitters is not gold”. False friends will lead a person down the wrong path. Today, too many young people have fallen into the trap of the influence of bad friends.
I spend much of my time with friends. Their mental outlook, behavior, and attitudes affect me, too. Therefore, I choose friends very carefully. I have to distinguish between fair-weather friends and true friends. True friends remain with me through thick and thin while fair-weather friends are found only during sunny days.
Lasting friendship is indeed, a blessing. My good friends are great pillars of my life. They help me to stand tall and erect in life, and they never abandon me.
Friendship can make or break someone. It can lead to good careers and proper living. Truly, it does not matter how often you meet your friends. What matters is how much you care about and feel for one another in good times as well as in bad times. True friendship is a great asset in life. It enables a person to soar like an eagle over the storms in life.
But to have a great friend, you must also be a great friend! I always try to help my friends any way I can. They know they can call me anytime day or night and I will be there for them.
