What does the word “good” mean?
Many bad things have happened to me in my life.
- I have had to overcome many physical problems.
- My first husband almost killed me with his physical abuse more than once.
- Now I am legally disabled due to traumatic brain injury.
Everything happens for a reason. My past has taught me what a bad day really is. Now I know that I never have bad days now, that every day is a good day. Every day I am safe, fed, and content with my life. My husband loves me with all of his heart. And for these things I am thankful and happy.
I would not know what a “good” day is if I had not experienced so many bad days. So even for the bad days, I am thankful!
I find good in everything every day of my life. I look around me and can always find a reason to smile.
For example, last night I felt tired but had to walk to a friend’s home to meet a repair person. But it was good because on the way I saw the beautiful sunset over the mountains in the picture above.
The month of October will be very very very busy for me. I have a list of things that must get done that appears to me to be a thousand miles long. But every day is good anyway, no matter how much I have to get done or how tired I am.
To me the word means “good” means “God Opens Other Doors”. It also means “Going On Or Defeated”. By these definitions, there is something good in everything!
You can change the world by simply looking for the good around you!
