The internet is a strange place. How can you know what to believe?
About an hour ago, one of my Facebook friends sent me a link to a video with a shocked emoticon next to it.
The link was to a video that had been removed from the internet already. The picture next to the video was the same picture I use for my Facebook account. Apparently this video appeared very recently, probably sometime today. Underneath the video were the words “incredible what this person does woooow”.
I do not know the person on tumbler who created this video at Tumblr account videoshdforusa47. Probably he confused me with another Bobbie Jo Rae, since it is a fairly common name.
But I did discern that this Tumblr account was fake, created by someone who does not use his real identity.
Then when I asked my Facebook friend if she had watched the video, she said someone had hacked her Facebook account and she did not send me the link.
Well, whoever created this video most likely hides behind his fake account because he knows the law can punish him.
Perhaps he also knows that I am connected to a high ranking FBI employee in DC who will help me get to the bottom of this as soon as possible.
The internet is a strange place. If you notice a strange video about someone, please verify its creator uses a real identity. You can do this by googling the account name and then trying to find any information about this “person”. When you find nothing about the person, feel free to contact the social media sponsor of the account and ask them to verify the account belongs to a real person. If the person is using a real identity, you can ask him or her about it. And if the person is not using a real identity, do not rent this video any space in your brain.
