The Last Day

Today is the last day of the year.  What will you do today?

What do you do on the last day of the year or month?  My husband usually plans to spend his day with me—tickling and teasing me, of course.

Have you thought about how will you spend this day?

If you haven’t decided yet what you will do today, consider asking yourself a few questions about how you have spent the rest of your days.  Have you…

  • Improved yourself in any way?

Have you learned anything new? Overcome any challenges in your life?  Let go of the things you cannot control?  Rekindled old relationships or started any new ones?

Most importantly, have you eliminated the negatives in your life? Have you done your best to improve your own health? Have you amended any broken relationships, especially relationships with your family?

  • Improved anyone else’s life in any way?

Have you helped anyone else overcome a challenge?  Contributed your gifts and talents to the world?

Most importantly, have you done your best to help others every day this year?

  • Made anything wonderful happen?

Where have you gone and what have you accomplished?  Seen any interesting places? Have you set any personal goals and tried to meet them?  Have you learned what you need to learn so you can make your dreams come true?

Most importantly, have you done your best to make your dreams come true?

***

If you answered no to any of these questions, today is the day to start—not tomorrow.  Today, you can think, plan, and decide how you will do these things in the upcoming days.

By the way, what is your next resolution?  Mine is to try each day to accept myself unconditionally.  This may sound like a selfish resolution, but it is not.  When a person accepts himself or herself unconditionally, (s)he is starting on the road to a successful life, health-wise and otherwise.

Get ahead in life by achieving your resolutions

every month instead of every year!
