Do you know what the red Poppy flower represents?\u00a0 These two well-known poems explain it very well.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

In Flanders Fields<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In Flanders Fields the poppies blow<\/p>\n

Between the crosses row on row.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

That mark our place; and in the sky<\/p>\n

The larks, still bravely singing, fly<\/p>\n

Scarce heard amid the guns below.<\/p>\n

We are the Dead. Short days ago<\/p>\n

We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,<\/p>\n

Loved, and were loved, and now we lie<\/p>\n

In Flanders fields.<\/p>\n

Take up our quarrel with the foe:<\/p>\n

To you from failing hands we throw<\/p>\n

The torch; be yours to hold it high.<\/p>\n

If ye break faith with us who die<\/p>\n

We shall not sleep, though poppies grow<\/p>\n

The Poppy<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nature created a flower<\/p>\n

With petals of brilliant red.<\/p>\n

Who\u2019d have thought such a beautiful flower<\/p>\n

Would be used to remember the dead?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

For when all the guns have stopped firing<\/p>\n

And there\u2019s only the mud and the rain.<\/p>\n

God sends down his little red flowers<\/p>\n

To cover the lads who remain.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

So remember every November<\/p>\n

When we hold our remembrance day,<\/p>\n

Of the lads who lie beneath the poppies<\/p>\n

And the price they had to pay.<\/p>\n

Because the price the soldiers pay for our freedom is permanent, perhaps we should celebrate the meaning of the Poppy flower every day of our lives.\u00a0 We should thank every veteran we see and do everything we can to support the military that protects us now.<\/p>\n

Remember, it is because of them that we are free!<\/p>\n
