After growing up in a dysfunctional home as a child many years ago, I still feel that my Mother does not love me. And every time I turn on the news to find out what is going on in the world around me, most of what I hear is bad news.<\/p>\n<p>But still, I am thankful to be alive and part of you.<\/p>\n<h4>Why am I so thankful?\u00a0 I am thankful for many things.<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Having a roof over my head.<\/li>\n<li>Being able to drive an insured car.<\/li>\n<li>Simply being able to walk.<\/li>\n<li>Having utilities for our home.<\/li>\n<li>The food in my kitchen.<\/li>\n<li>My music teacher.<\/li>\n<li>Our two dogs.<\/li>\n<li>Having books to read.<\/li>\n<li>Health insurance, having a good doctor, and my health.<\/li>\n<li>Having warm clothes to wear in the winter and cooler clothes for the warmer months.<\/li>\n<li>My career as a writer.<\/li>\n<li>Being a part of a supportive community.<\/li>\n<li>Most importantly, people who love me. My family and friends.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Reader, do you have a roof over your head?\u00a0 Heat, electricity, and water in your home?\u00a0 Food on your table?\u00a0 Do you have activities to do each day?
