This week I accidentally gave a gift to a stranger.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

On Sunday night, we were staying at a campground, and the weather got chilly at night.\u00a0 I reached for my \u201cKiss Me\u201d Christmas toboggan to wear to take the dogs outside, but could not find it anywhere.\u00a0 We checked the lost and found at the RV park office as well as at the places I had been to.\u00a0 Apparently, the person who picked it up liked it as much as I did and decided to wear it instead of turning it in.<\/p>\n

Then on Monday morning, I continued looking for my hat.\u00a0 In the process of looking for my hat, my fitness pedometer watch fell off my wrist.\u00a0 We looked everywhere for that but could not find it, either.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, I had been dealing with other problems of my own and had a headache.\u00a0 And these two lost items made my headache worse.<\/p>\n

I simply hate to lose something!<\/p>\n

My husband bought me a new fitness watch that I like better than the one I lost on Monday afternoon.\u00a0 Of course, the next day, he found my other one in the garage of our toy hauler RV. I had been practicing piano out there, and apparently, the snap had come undone on it.\u00a0 The RV garage floor is black and so is my watch so I did not see it in the corner when we were looking everywhere for it the previous day.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, we moved to a different RV park, to one in my hometown.\u00a0 As we drove there, I thought of a different way to look at losing something.\u00a0 When I lose something and cannot find it in the future, I will consider that item a gift to a stranger that brightened their day.<\/p>\n

Yes, it is aggravating to lose something.\u00a0 But a gift to a stranger that brightens someone else\u2019s life is always a good thing.<\/p>\n

Do you feel aggravated when you lose something?\u00a0 Feeling aggravated and angry contributes to depression and other health problems.\u00a0 Perhaps you could try to think about it as a gift to a stranger.<\/p>\n

Merry Christmas to the stranger who is now wearing my \u201cKiss Me\u201d hat!<\/p>\n
