The English language derives the word \u201ceureka\u201d from the Greek word meaning \u201cI found it\u201d.\u00a0 Can you guess what I recently found?<\/em><\/p>\n

For the past two summers, I have enjoyed my garden.\u00a0 But no matter how much money I paid the local kids to weed it, more of these pesky plants returned.<\/p>\n

So before planting this year, I weeded my thousand plus square foot garden myself.\u00a0 Digging down as deeply as I could with a cultivator, I extracted the deep roots of each weed by hand, as well as the weed itself and the surface roots. I had to pull with all of my strength to remove some of them. Certainly, the kids I paid to help with this project hadn\u2019t done this. If they had, I wouldn\u2019t be finding so many underground beginnings of these invasive deplorables. This process gave me much back pain but when I finally finished, I felt satisfied that there were no weeds in my garden.<\/p>\n

I worked in silence with only my thoughts to keep me company. As I labored, the word \u201ceureka\u201d popped into my head.<\/p>\n

The solution to all of the world\u2019s problems<\/h4>\n

had just occurred to me.<\/h4>\n

Problems are just like the weeds in my garden. There are three parts to them. First, there is the surface weed, the visible issue or symptom. There is also the surface root underneath. Under that surface root, there is a deeper root.<\/p>\n

No matter how many times you pull the weed and the surface root on top, the unwanted plant will grow back unless you also eliminate its root farther down. Sometimes you have to remove good parts such as fertile soil with the bad, because seeds may have spread.<\/p>\n

Yes, it is difficult to thoroughly solve any problem. First, you must identify and remove its deepest origins. And after you do, the issue still may pop up again later.\u00a0 But you cannot resolve anything until you address the most challenging underlying causes of your dilemma.<\/p>\n

Eureka!<\/h4>\n

In my garden, I found the answer to all of the problems that anyone has ever had, currently has or will have in the future.<\/p>\n

This year I will have the best garden I have ever had\u2014with blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, and herbs. And I will cherish every single bite!<\/p>\n
