My dream for peace is simple, “one people”.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Our world and the US are at a breaking point.\u00a0 In the past two months, three violent tragic events have hurt the US and other violence has hurt the rest of the world.<\/p>\n

The choices we make and our solutions to the current crises will define the 21st<\/sup> century and impact the future of generations yet to come.<\/p>\n

For guidance in these troubled times, we can look to the Dalai Lama.\u00a0 He writes that we are one people, one humanity.<\/p>\n

What did he mean?<\/h4>\n

I think he meant that we all have the same basic needs and abilities and we all have desires.\u00a0 In spite of race, nationality, religion, political orientation, age, gender, and sexual orientation, this statement is true.<\/p>\n

We all want to have a loving home where we are accepted, comfortable and comforted, and loved.\u00a0 And we all want love, kindness, respect, and forgiveness.<\/p>\n

But when we let human-made categories separate us, we create conflicts and invisible walls that affect all of us, even those of us who never participated in creating these divisions.<\/p>\n

Now the best time of all to tear down these invisible walls!\u00a0 Now is the best time for us to use love, kindness, and non-violent conversation to create unity.\u00a0 WE CAN UNIFY AND BE STRONG AS ONE PEOPLE!<\/p>\n

But first, we must change our perspective to love, not hatred and division.\u00a0 We must help our fellow man every chance we can and show him we accept him.\u00a0 We must stop labeling those who are different from us and accept them for who they are right now.\u00a0 Only when we accept others will they work with us to create world-wide peace!<\/p>\n

When I look at a person, I see a person created by God.\u00a0 It is not my place to judge him or her.\u00a0 It is my place only to love and accept the person in front of me.\u00a0 And I see endless possibilities for a world filled with \u201cOne People\u201d.<\/p>\n

There must be limits in any society, like gun regulations and laws.\u00a0 But we also need to accept each other the way we are right now and help each other every chance we can. Then we will be working together for world peace!<\/p>\n

Help create a world filled with \u201cOne People\u201d.<\/h4>\n
