We have much to be thankful for, even if we are thankful for our chores!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

I AM THANKFUL…<\/h4>\n

For the wife<\/p>\n

Who says it’s hot dogs tonight,<\/p>\n

because she is home with me<\/p>\n

and not out with someone else.<\/p>\n

\u00a0For the husband\u00a0\u00a0who is on the sofa<\/p>\n

being a couch potato,<\/p>\n

because he is home with me<\/p>\n

and not out at the bars.<\/p>\n

For the teenager<\/p>\n

who is complaining about doing dishes,<\/p>\n

because it means she is at home<\/p>\n

and not on the streets.<\/p>\n

\u00a0For the taxes I pay,<\/p>\n

because it means<\/p>\n

I am doing okay.<\/p>\n

\u00a0For the mess to clean after a party,<\/p>\n

because it means I have<\/p>\n

been surrounded by friends.<\/p>\n

For the clothes that fit a little too snug,<\/p>\n

because it means<\/p>\n

I have enough to eat.<\/p>\n

For my shadow that watches me work,<\/p>\n

because it means<\/p>\n

I am out in the sunshine.<\/p>\n

\u00a0For a lawn that needs mowing,<\/p>\n

windows that need cleaning,<\/p>\n

and gutters that need fixing.<\/p>\n

Because it means I have a home.<\/p>\n

\u00a0For all the complaining<\/p>\n

I hear about the government,<\/p>\n

because it means<\/p>\n

we have freedom of speech.<\/p>\n

\u00a0For the parking spot<\/p>\n

I find at the far end of the parking lot,<\/p>\n

because it means<\/p>\n

I am capable of walking,<\/p>\n

and I have been blessed with transportation.<\/p>\n

\u00a0For my huge heating bill,<\/p>\n

because it means<\/p>\n

I am warm.<\/p>\n

\u00a0For the lady behind me in church<\/p>\n

who sings off key,<\/p>\n

because it means I can hear.<\/p>\n

\u00a0For the pile of laundry and ironing,<\/p>\n

because it means<\/p>\n

I have clothes to wear.<\/p>\n

\u00a0For weariness and aching muscles<\/p>\n

at the end of the day,<\/p>\n

because it means I have been<\/p>\n

capable of working.<\/p>\n

\u00a0For the headaches and allergies<\/p>\n

I often get,<\/p>\n

because it means that<\/p>\n

I have survived and am alive.<\/p>\n

For the alarm that went off<\/p>\n

at 4 am this morning,<\/p>\n

because it also means<\/p>\n

I am alive.<\/p>\n

For the fact that I am traveling today<\/p>\n

instead of celebrating with loved ones,<\/p>\n

because it means that<\/p>\n

we can afford our travel expenses and have a vehicle.<\/p>\n

\u00a0And finally, for too much e-mail,<\/p>\n

because it means<\/p>\n

I have friends who\u00a0 think of me.<\/p>\n

Be thankful for everything<\/a> and everyone in your life!<\/p>\n
