If I wish you a rotten day, you will understand what I mean after reading this post.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Do you have a favorite expression?\u00a0 I have one that a buddy shared with me.<\/p>\n

As my friend Wendy and I walk early each morning, we stop to chat with just about everyone we encounter.\u00a0 One day we stopped to chat with someone who later became a photography buddy of mine.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo have you seen the eagles in their nest?\u201d Wendy asked him.\u00a0 \u201cNot today\u201d, he replied.<\/h4>\n

Then the conversation moved on to plenty of other topics. We chatted about the hunters in the area, the moose, and the bear, deer, and other wildlife that we often see.\u00a0 He also showed us the pictures he had taken recently in his camera.\u00a0 Since we were on the road where the eagles in my Near a River<\/u> book lived, I decided to walk back to the nest and check to see if any of them were around this morning. \u00a0They were not, so I walked back to where Wendy and my buddy were chatting.<\/p>\n

Just as they were ending the conversation, I approached them.\u00a0 Right before he drove off, my photography buddy said to Wendy, \u201cHave a rotten day!\u201d Then Wendy and I continued walking.<\/p>\n

I told her it was funny that my buddy had said, \u201cHave a rotten day\u201d.\u00a0 She stated the obvious, that is just his way of wishing everyone a good day.<\/p>\n

So Wendy and I adopted the same expression as our favorite expression.\u00a0 When others hear us saying \u201cHave a rotten day!\u201d as we part company, we sometimes get strange looks.\u00a0 But it is much less boring than saying, \u201cHope you have a great day!\u201d<\/p>\n

When I wish you a rotten day, I sincerely mean that from the bottom of my heart.<\/p>\n

Have a rotten day every day of your life just as an eagle<\/a> flying above the storm does.<\/p>\n
