How you live your life is your decision, but…<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

We all have problems in our lives.\u00a0 But our happiness does not depend on the problems in our lives nor how we try to resolve them.\u00a0 The following true story illustrates this point\u2026<\/p>\n

A 92 year-old woman moved into a nursing home one day.\u00a0 She was well-fashioned, well-poised, and proud.<\/p>\n

But she was also blind. And the recent death of her husband of 70 years had necessitated her move.<\/p>\n

As she walked to her new nursing home room, a staff member described her surroundings.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love it\u201d, she said, as enthusiastic as a child on Christmas morning.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut we have not even reached your room yet,\u201d the assisting staff member replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat doesn\u2019t matter,\u201d she said. \u201cHappiness is something you decide on ahead of time. Whether I like my room or not doesn\u2019t depend on the furniture\u2019s arrangement.\u00a0 My happiness comes from how I arrange my mind. And I already decided to love my new surroundings.\u00a0 This is a decision I make every morning. I figure I can either spend my day moping about my life, or I can get up and be thankful for what I still have. Each day is a gift.\u00a0 As long as I know that, I will be happy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Happiness is a decision!\u00a0 If you want to be happy every day, perhaps you should simply decide to be happy each morning when you open your eyes. Instead of focusing on how different your life is from how you want it to be, just get up and be thankful for the things you still have.<\/p>\n

If you treat each day like a gift, you will be much happier every day of your life.<\/p>\n

Your happiness is your decision.\u00a0 Please consider making the decision to use gratitude to enable you to rise like an eagle<\/a> above the storms in your life to a place of happiness.<\/p>\n
